Bohmian Mechanics

« Back to Glossary Index

Bohmian Mechanics is an alternative name given to the Bohmian Interpretation of quantum mechanics. It is called “Bohmian Mechanics” because it includes an equation additional to the “Orthodox” interpretation, namely the Copenhagen Interpretation. Many of the interpretations of quantum mechanics rely on exactly the same equations as the Copenhagen Interpretation but assign alternative physical meanings to them. Not so with Bohmian Mechanics. It adds an equation in addition to assigning different physical meanings to the equations of the Copenhagen Interpretation.

See the Bohmian Interpretation of quantum mechanics.
